Collaborative chamber music performance of the first act of Così fan tutte with the Detroit Opera Resident Artist Program with special guest Nathan Stark as Don Alfonso. The chamber orchestra, featuring Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, will be conducted by Francesco Milioto.
Così fan tutte is an opera in two acts composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte. It was first performed in Vienna in 1790 and explores themes of love, faithfulness, and the fickleness of human emotions. It is known for its beautiful music, witty libretto, and intricate ensemble pieces. Despite its controversial subject matter at the time of its premiere, Cosi fan tutte has since become one of Mozart’s most beloved and frequently performed operas.
