Bloomfield Township Public Library champions the power of words to spark discovery and imagination. The GLCMF is proud to partner with the library to provide free concerts and events for the surrounding community during the Festival.
In the heart of Downtown Windsor, the Capitol Theatre currently offers the unique convenience of a three-in-one venue, joined together by a classic lobby and bar area. It is both intimate and spacious; accessible and grand.
Founded in 1885, the museum covers 658,000 square feet that includes more than 100 galleries, a 1,150-seat auditorium, a 380-seat lecture/recital hall, an art reference library, and a state-of-the-art conservation services laboratory.
Kerrytown Concert House (KCH) is the house where magic happens in the arts. An intimate 110 seat venue, the historical house’s red door beckons to artists and audience members from around the globe. KCH is home to diverse offerings in every genre and the walls of the house are not only home to music and theatre but also rotating art exhibits.
The tower can first be seen driving on Long Lake Rd. Upon further inspection, the rest of the sprawling property comes into view. There is a lovely refectory on the west end of the church, which overlooks a beautiful lake. Many summer evenings, the sun shines through the refectory’s endless windows, and chamber music is given a home like no other. Newly air-conditioned.
Monger’s Provisions is culinary outfitters for fine cheeses, chocolates and charcuterie. This venue provides an intimate and unique setting for listening to music and enjoying wine and cheese pairings.
There are no bad seats in this acoustically enviable 688-seat auditorium. Seligman plays host to the Festival’s Saturday night performances, providing both musicians and audiences a professional concert setting. Seating is reserved, so guests are encouraged to order tickets early.
St. Hugo of the Hills makes an ideal chamber music venue. A favorite of Festival supporters because of its quiet, remote location and beautifully crafted stained-glass windows, St. Hugo’s is a delight to visit anytime. This year’s performances will take place in the comfort of the Main Church Sanctuary.
St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, now known as St. Matthew’s-St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, is a historic Episcopal church located at 8850 Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, and is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan.
Housing Michigan’s oldest Jewish congregation, Temple Beth El has all the stateliness of a magnificent venue with none of the stuffiness. Although the Temple has a wonderful large sanctuary for worship, the GLCMF prefers the intimate Chapel space at the Temple’s north end for chamber music.
Wasserman Projects is a flexible and constantly evolving program of art, design, and music, that brings together artists of all disciplines. Our mission is to promote the work of outstanding practitioners based locally and around the globe by hosting exhibitions, conversations, and supporting creativity wherever we can be useful. Through collaborations and programming that generates interest, curiosity, and commerce, our goal is to become one of the many threads in the vibrant fabric that is Detroit.
