Edward Arron
Edward Arron is a renowned cellist recognized for his elegant musicianship and passionate performances. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he debuted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2000 and has since performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with major orchestras worldwide. Arron is a member of the Ehnes String Quartet and frequently performs at prestigious festivals, including Ravinia, Tanglewood, and Salzburg, as well as venues such as Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Seoul Arts Center. He has also appeared as a guest artist with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
In addition to his performing career, Arron has made significant contributions as an artistic director, including his 12-season tenure with his wife, Jeewon Park, as co-artistic director of the Performing Artists in Residence series at the Clark Art Institute. He previously served as artistic director for several other concert series, such as Musical Masterworks in Old Lyme and the Metropolitan Museum Artists in Concert series.
A graduate of the Juilliard School, Arron is a passionate educator and joined the University of Massachusetts Amherst faculty in 2016 after teaching at New York University. His 2021 recording of Beethoven’s Complete Works for Cello and Piano, with Jeewon Park, received the Samuel Sanders Collaborative Artists Award.
