Percussionist Matthew Duvall, founder, artistic director, and percussionist of Eighth Blackbird, and Jocelyn Conselva, a versatile and celebrated vocalist, bring an exciting program that merges rhythmic intensity with harmonic color. Duvall, a four-time Grammy Award winner, has also received the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, and the Chamber Music America Visionary Award. Conselva has performed chamber music, opera, and art song in festivals across Europe, the Caribbean, and North America. She is the vocalist for New Music Detroit (NMD) and collaborates with Picosa, EcoSono, and Grammy-winning Eighth Blackbird.
