Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy, Eugene Drucker, Paul Watkins, Ivalas Quartet

Sphinx Apprentice Ensemble, Ivalas Quartet, performs Janáček’s “Kreutzer Sonata,” the composer’s first of two string quartets. Then, Detroit Symphony Orchestra Associate Concertmaster and violinist, Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy, is joined by Festival Artistic Director and cellist, Paul Watkins, for a performance of Kodály’ Duo for Violin and Cello. Closing the performance is the Emerson String Quartet’s Eugene Drucker on viola alongside the Ivalas Quartet for a performance of Mendelssohn’s String Quintet No. 2.
