Artistic Encounters

Bloomfield Township Public Library Logo

The Catherine Filene Shouse Chamber Music Institute started in 1996 to provide a platform for emerging professional ensembles. The educational program has launched the careers of many of today’s leading classical ensembles, including eighth blackbird, Pacifica, Jupiter and Ariel Quartets, Axiom Brass, Donald Sinta Quartet, Calidore String Quartet and the Claremont Trio.

As part of our mission to foster artistic excellence among young, emerging ensembles, Festival artists host public coachings for Shouse Institute fellows. You are invited to attend these Artistic Encounters to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a professional musician.

For the 2024 season, we are partnering with the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

The following Artistic Encounters will be FREE. For details also visit https://btpl.org/
